Kenny Loggins ins 106.1 The Sound

This Sound solo artist launched his career singing demo songs with producer Jim Messina, who was in both Poco and Buffalo Springfield. Later they formed Loggins & Messina.  He’s known as King of the Soundtracks with hit songs in Top Gun, Footloose, Caddyshack and Over the Top.  He also co-wrote What a Fool Believes with Michael McDonald.  That whip you hear in Don’t Fight It was borrowed from the set of Indiana Jones, which was filming next to the recording studio.  He just formed a new country band – The Blue Sky Riders – and launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their first recordings.
