Kenny Rogers is 106.1 The Sound

This Sound artist led several successful groups before going solo in the mid-70’s.  Known first as a folk singer, then a country crooner, he struck mainstream gold with Dolly Parton on 1984’s Islands In The Stream, which was written by The Bee Gees.  His Beverley Hills Lion Share studios hosted the recording of the historic song – We Are The World.  An accomplished photographer, he was invited to the White House in 1993 to photograph the then First Lady Hillary Clinton.  He once owned a chain of fried chicken joints, Kenny Rogers’ Roasters.  Featured on the TV show Seinfeld, Kenny Rogers is 106.1 The Sound.
