Paul Simon is 106.1 The Sound

This Sound solo artist is a native New Yorker and many of his songs have New York City references.  He got his start working for a publishing company selling songs to record companies.  When President Kennedy was assassinated, he was so upset he moved to England.  While in the UK, he wrote an acoustic version of Sound of Silence.  He was called back to the US when the song was over dubbed with electronics and went to #1.  He’s been married three times, including a short marriage to Princess Leia – you know – Carrie Fisher.  He’s hosted Saturday Night Live four times.  He’s released three times as many solo albums than Simon & Garfunkel albums.
