This sound artist was a child actor – appearing in both A Hard Day’s Night and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He’s been married and divorced three times. His third wife was 22 years younger than him. In addition to the drums, he’s skilled at playing the bag pipes. He played Congas for George Harrison’s first album and soon after became the drummer for Genesis. He’s an expert on The Alamo and wrote a book on its history. He’s deaf in one ear, has severe back issues and retired from music in 2011. Only to un-retire in 2015. His 1985 Live Aid performances are legendary having performed at London’s Wembley Stadium. Then jumping on The Concord for a performance in Philadelphia – the same day.
