Jim Croce is 106.1 The Sound

This artist built his skills at Villanova, PA playing smoky frat parties and beatnik coffee houses.  His first two albums were disappointing commercial and critical failures.  He was beginning to rise on a string of college appearances when he dies in a Louisiana plane crash.  Just a day before his biggest LP was released.  Jim was just 30.  His third album – ‘You Don’t Mess Around With Jim’, ironically included his #1 song, ‘Time In A Bottle’.
