Fleetwood Mac IS 106.1 The Sound

Some consider this band a British ensemble while others say the group is American, because that’s where they found their biggest success.  The original singer, Bob Welch, who later went on to have a solo career, left the band after the release of their first radio hit, ‘Hypnotized’.  When Lyndsey Buckingham met a certain high school singer in California, the band met their biggest success with their album ‘Rumors’.  Founder Mick Fleetwood would go on to ask Buckingham to join the group with Christine and John McVie saying, “Oh, and bring along that vocalist you’re dating.”  That vocalist was Stevie Nicks.  Fleetwood Mac IS 106.1 The Sound.
