Jefferson Starship is 106.1 The Sound

This San Francisco-based Sound Group formed as a psychedelic group in the 60’s with the name Airplane.  The band often switches between Grace Slick and Marty Balin as lead singer.  Grace Slick had an affair with every band member except Marty Balin.  Marty Balin would be replaced by Mickey Thomas as they have almost identical voices.  Even though they played Woodstock, the film crew slept through their performance.  That’s why you won’t see them in the movie, Woodstock.  Formed in the 60’s as Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship is 106.1 The Sound.
