The Soft Rock Sound Duo has close ties to The Beach Boys who gave them their name when they were touring together. The duo’s Daryl Dragon’s Godfather is Danny Thomas and Dragon’s father composed the soundtrack to Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Their first single – The Way I Want To Touch You – was recorded for just $250 dollars. Leonard Nimoy, Andy Griffith and Don Knotts all appeared on their variety show. Queen Elizabeth fell asleep at their private 1976 White House performance of Muskrat Love. Toni Tennille also sang background on Led Zeppelin records. Married for 39 years, Captain & Tennille is 106.1 The Sound.
