Bob Seger is 106.1 The Sound

This Michigan native had a father who was a musician that worked in the auto factories in Detroit. His father left the family when he was just 10 years old. Heartbroken, he took refuge by listening to his transistor radio and was introduced to soul artists like James Brown, Otis Redding and Little Richard.  Mowtown actually offered him his first record contract.  His first record – Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man hit the Top 20 in 1969.  But he wouldn’t have another charting song until Night Moves was released 8 years later.  His work ethic is legendary – he played over 250 dates in 1975.  Bob Seger is 1061.1 The Sound.
