Eric Clapton is 106.1 The Sound

Born in Surrey, England as an illegitimate son of a Canadian soldier and an underage mother, he was raised by his grandparents believing his mother was his sister.  During his time with Cream, graffiti showed up around England calling him a God, thus adding to his legend.  His fast guitar styler earned him the name of Slowhand as he often breaks strings wile playing live.  In and out of addiction for years, he finally became somber in the late 80’s and now operates a rehab center in the Virgin Islands.  Tragedy struck in 1991 when his 4 year old son fell 49 stories out of a New York condo, spawning the song Tears In Heaven.  Eric Clapton is 106.1 The Sound.
