The Beatles Are 106.1 The Sound
This Sound Group got their name inspired from Buddy Holly & The Crickets. They recorded their first album in one day. In the 60’s, they were nervous that America wouldn’t like them until they went on The Ed Sullivan Show. It was Bob Dylan who introduced them to Marijuana. Decca Records rejected them in 1962 and instead signed The Tremeloes. The place holder name for their hit “Yesterday” was – Scrambled Eggs. Their song “I Am The Walrus” was banned by The BBC for suggestive lyrics. Eleanor Rigby was a real person – a lonely older church lady. It took four men and three pianos to play the final chord in “A Day In The Life”. The Beatles are 106.1 The Sound.
