It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas is Part of the Christmas Sound on 106.1 The Sound

This Sound Christmas Classic celebrates the time when downtown department stores decorated their windows and small towns would put up lavish displays.  The sound also has a few dated lyrics with references to cheap stores as Five & Dimes and Hopalong Cassidy’s Hopalong Boots.  It was written by Meredith Wilson who also wrote the Broadway play, The Music Man.  The original was on Perry Como’s first Christmas album.  You can also hear versions of the song by The Osmond’s, Johnny Mathis and even The Chipmunks.  It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas is part of the Christmas Sound on 106.1 The Sound.
