The songs from this group stroke visions of fog-lit street lights in the bay area. Initially a progressive rock band, it’s wasn’t until Steve Perry joined the group when their 1978 Infinity album caught fire. Far from award winners they’ve never won a Grammy as their only nomination loss was against the re-release of a Beatles song. Disbanded in 1987 after record sales fizzles, band members Neal Schon and Johnathon Cain joined John Waite to form Bad English while Perry went on to have a sensational solo career. A hip disability prevented Perry from touring when they re-grouped in the 90’s as they hired a fan band lead singer to replace Perry. Still touring today without Steve Perry, Journey is 106.1 The Sound.
