Stevie Wonder IS 106.1 The Sound
Born in the inner city of Detroit as Steveland Judkins during the 1950’s, he would catch the eye of one of the most prolific producers – Barry Gordy, JR very early in his life. Blind from birth and a skilled musician on piano, organ, harmonica and drums by his 8th birthday, he would record his first #1, ‘Fingertips Part 1 & 2’ at age 13 at Chicago’s Regal Theatre. As he grew, he shed the title ‘Little’ with his career peaking in 1976 with the album ‘The Songs In The Key Of Life’. Still touring at the age of 70 – Stevie Wonder IS 106.1 The Sound.
