The core of this duo were classically trained musicians in New York before roosting in LA in the early 70’s. Like their contemporaries Santana – rotating musicians in sessions – this gave every song a unique sound. Peaking in the mid-70’s with their biggest album – ‘AJA’ – working with a bevy of session musicians helped avoid ego fights in the creative process.
