James Taylor IS 106.1 The Sound

Largely influenced by folk-country singers like Hank Williams and Bob Dylan, North Carolina native James Taylor began his career in England releasing his first largely ignored album on The Beatle’s Apple label in the late 60’s. But it was his 1970’s release,  covering life passages like his rocky marriage to Carly Simon, that put Sweet Baby James on the map. Success with covers of songs like Handy Man and others gave him enough material to release a greatest hits compilation that sold over 10 million copies just six short years later. James Taylor IS 106.1 The Sound.
